The fine print, in plain English.
By using Torque you agree to these terms. We've kept them short so you'll actually read them.
What Torque is
Torque is a tool that reads a used-car listing and gives you an opinion about it. The verdict, score, flags, and inspection sheet are informational — not a guarantee, appraisal, mechanic's report, or legal advice. Cars are physical objects with hidden problems; nothing replaces a hands-on inspection by a qualified mechanic before you buy.
Use the app responsibly
- Don't use Torque to break the law, infringe anyone's rights, or do anything you wouldn't want on a billboard.
- Don't try to scrape, reverse-engineer, or overload the service.
- Don't paste content you don't have the right to share.
Listings and third-party sites
Torque pulls from public listings on sites like CarGurus, Autotrader, Craigslist, and Facebook Marketplace. We don't own that content and we don't endorse any seller. If a listing is removed or changes after you check it, the verdict you saw may no longer apply.
Buying decisions are yours
You're the one buying the car. We'll give you the best read we can, but the final call — what to pay, whether to walk, what to negotiate — is yours. Torque is not liable for the outcome of any vehicle purchase, sale, negotiation, or inspection based on its output.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is." We don't warrant that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any specific verdict is accurate for a specific vehicle. To the maximum extent allowed by law, Torque and its team are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves. If a change is material, we'll note it in the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.
